BSM Agri Headlock Gates

Self locking headlocks are used most often in free stall barns where the entire feed bunk area is lined with headlocks and all of your cows can be locked down at once.  Individual cows can be identified and treated before other animals.  BSM headlocks are also used in tie stall barns for dry cows and heifers.

• Cause less strain to your animals when handling them because your cows are treated in familiar settings and can eat while waiting to be treated.
• Easily and safely release individual with the panic release button at the top of each headlock.
• Prevent injuries in your cows when the fall with the special openings at the top and bottom of each BSM headlock gate.
• Save time treating your cows while they are restrained in our headlocks.
• Cut back on your labour costs because you only need two people working on treatments using our self locking feed fronts.

• Ensure your stalls stay open when they are empty with the unique counterweight system used by our headlocks.
• Lower the risk of mastitis in your cows by locking them after milking and allowing their teat sphincter muscles to close before they can lie down.
• Allow your animals to be released from behind using a long fork or stick.
• Your cows will be able to easily enter and exit your headlocks with the adjustable head openings that are available.
• Improve your parlours efficiency because animals are not channelled through a narrow sort lane after leaving the parlour.
• Since your cows were restrained during treatment you save the time it would have taken them to return to their pens after treatment.

Options

• BSM headlocks are available in many sizes for cows, heifers and calves.
• The cow versions come in 8' sections or 10' and 12' adjustable sections.
• The heifer versions come in 9' sections or 10' and 12' adjustable sections.
• The calf sections are available in 6', 7 ½' and 9' sections.
• Up to 100' of BSM self lock can be attached on one handle.
