Duck Flooring

If you have wooden flooring installed in your duck barn you know that wooden flooring has a number of problems that make it poorly suited to the environment of a duck barn.

Wooden flooring deteriorates quickly, meaning that it has to be replaced often, which costs you more money.  Cleaning wooden floors is also a big hassle.  This is compounded by the fact that if wooden flooring is not cleaned often, harmful bacteria will grow.

Until recently your only alternative to wooden flooring has been to use the plastic flooring custom made for other poultry, namely chickens and turkeys.  But as you know chickens and turkeys have very different feet than ducks, and regular poultry flooring can injure your ducks' feet.

To solve both these problems for you BSM Agri has created our unique duck flooring.

Built for Comfort

We've designed our duck flooring to accommodate the webbed feet of ducklings. The rounded shape at the top of our duck slats is much more comfortable for your ducks' feet.

Built for Cleanliness

The openings in our flooring allow water and manure to filter through easier, keeping your ducks dry and clean.  It also makes cleaning your flooring much easier.  Unlike wooden flooring, our duck flooring does not harbour bacteria.

Built to Last

The mixture of 30% glass filled polypropylene and 70% TPO regrind in our plastic slats can stand up to the conditions in your barn much better than wooden flooring.  Our special plastic mix is resistant to wear, chemicals and changes in temperature.

Each black slat is 24" x 18" and can support 230 pounds per square foot.  This allows you to place ducks up to 8 or 12 weeks old on our flooring with ease depending on the breed.

When you choose our slats you can pick between galvanized, stainless steel or our custom plasteel rails to support your flooring.
