Pressure Washing Tips

Will storing my pressure washer upside down ruin the unit?
John Davis writes "What damage can be done to a new gas pressure washer stored upside down for an extended period of time?"

Harold: I am assuming your washer has not been started in this condition. If the unit has oil in the crankcase simply set it upright and allow the oil to settle back into the crankcase.

Remove the spark plug and spin the engine over to see if oil has settled on top of the piston. Check the oil level of the motor and the pump and start the motor. It may take a while and the unit may smoke a little but everything should be ok. Remember to attach water to the pump!
