I'm not getting very much pressure!
Row Mussaw asks:" I have a craftsman 5.0 horsepower, 2000 psi high pressure washer. Quite often when I start the motor and push the nozzle for high pressure, I only get about half of the pressure. The pressure valve is turned all the way up. Can you tell me what would cause the unit not to generate the high pressure? I have checked for clogged lines. I also made sure that the filter was clean, oil level was right and there are no leaks in the hoses. I am not sure if my pump is defective or not. Can you offer me some advice? Are their seals or something in the pump that may have to be replaced for the unit to produce the high pressure again. I do get some pressure, but not much."
Harold: You have one of two possible problems: either there is a leak in the valve or a defective unloader.
Check those items, if it is one of those you will have to get Craftsman to replace the part or get yourself a new pressure washer. We don't deal in residential pressure washers but many residential suppliers don't offer replacement parts. Good luck!
